After many delays, the PCI Special Interest Group announced that the base specification for the new PCI Express 3.0 will be ready in November.
The new interface will be fully backward compatible with the first two PCI Express, and will double once again the bandwidth.
The first compatible devices, computers and graphics cards should be available during the 3rd quarter of 2011.
