Hi,
I'm looking for DVD rip software (to MPEG-4, Divx,... doesn't matter) but would like it to be freeware. I've tried handbrake.
Any other solutions that are worth to try?
Thx

Mactheripper can let you get the .vob files in case the DVD is protected, then MPEGStreamclip is a wonderful tool for conversion and editing, but you'd need to purchase the Apple MPEG2 component, which is really worth its $ 20 sthing. Fo free conversion from MPEG-2, you have ffmpegX.

puremac.com may be able to help you out. there're quite a no. of good choices there.
for me, i personally use these few apps (not necessary freeware, some bought):
dvdbackup (mactheripper is better as it is more updated)
handbreak
hawkeye
ffmpegX
mpeg2works
that's about it for now. hope these suggestions are of some use to you.

you made a mistake.
isquint is a iPod Video Converter for Mac, not a Mac DVD Ripper.
