Google announced to have win a major victory in its fight against Oracle. The court released a decision on most claims, and all of them denying accusation of patent infringements (details). As a reminder, after having acquired Sun and so Java, Oracle launched a legal action against Google for Java-related patent infringements related to Android mobile OS. Google might then avoid a major fine, but we can expect that Oracle will appeal, but this will last another months, giving Google more time to prepare its defense.
