Hello,
I bought a Time Capsule in Fall 2010 (now on Firmware 7.5.2). Not surprisingly, the 5GHz range does not even go beyond the room it is in. On other wireless routers it is usually quite easy to either upload an alternative firmware or override otherwise the maximum transmit rate / power. How can that be done on the time capsule? Many Thanks, Cedric |

Normally the TC switches automatically between 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz so normally you don't have to worry about it. However, by going to Airport Utility (look for it in spotlight) you can choose to be in full 5 GHz or full 2.4 GHz (I can on mine which is the first model, using the same firmware).
Then I don't know if anyone has ever thought of jailbreaking a TC |
