Thanks to Etienne for reporting that the price of the Mac mini dropped by 100 Euro in average in most European Apple Store. It went from 799 Euro for the basic model to 699 Euro, even though it remains much too high to really compete with other similar small box PC.

Considering the fact that a Mac mini produces about 10 times more than a mini PC, so it is worth of such price. The stores are sophisticated, the computer enclosure is more expensive and durable, the hardware and the software of basis are much more sophisticated. It is important to remember that Apple has ever made computers equipped with much smaller main boards, what represents a very high level of expertise thus investment in production development.
