I got my mac with a custom 8800GT yesterday, and so far the 8800 was disappointing.
When testing Cinebench the score for openGL was between 5740 and 6040 which is lower than the score for the HD2600 that comes stock. After some more testing and searching, i found out with the test at OpenGL Extensions Viewer that every test was 3 to 4 times faster than a HD2600 except the openGL 2.1 which was slower. So my guess is that cinebench only uses this version and that apple needs to do an update fast or something is wrong with my system. For people wanna test this and post the scores: Set the test to Anisotropy at 4 and check the 'use fog' and 'benchmark'. Then just post. cheers |
