I just bought a pioneer 115d optical drive for my Mac Pro and installed it in the second drive slot. After installation the computer would not boot. I took the disk out and everything is fine. Anybody knows the solution.

you should go to Pioneer website to look for a Mac driver, or on Apple website if hte last Pioneer DVR115 is now supported. It could be included in Leopard drivers library, but for sure not in Tiger

Yes true.. not all is supported so you need to check it out if what you bought is supported :-)
