The Macbook Pro 2011 inaugurated an innovation that remains discrete at Apple, this is the arrival of Wi-Fi capable to reach the 450 Mbits/s.
![]() It seems that Apple seeks to standardize this data flow. Thus, the new iMac is also compatible with the 450 Mbits/s. For that, Apple changed their Airport card and also installed 3 antennas (instead of 2 before), something indispensabie to be able simultaneously to use 3 channels of 150 Mbits/s. As a reminder, to reach such a flow, it is imperative to have a compatible base station, like current Airport Extreme and Time Capsule, but also to connect themselves in 802.11n on 5 GHz and also to activate the option of widened channels. To finish, we remind to you that we tested the Airport at this data flow recently. By crispin, original by Lionel |
