http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html

finally updated! i'm still very much a fan of CCC (over the now more popular SuperDuper) simply because i've started with that and grown used to the UI. ok not to forget i still use really ancient macs by today's standards.

anyway, just to bring the news that CCC has released a beta version and good to see them back in development once more! kinda a sign for me to upgrade again haha.

hopefully the new iMacs come soon though i'm still wanting to get the Pro macs instead. oh well.

I'm very excited too. I've been a CCC user since the very first release. It looks like it finally has the one thing I still wanted which is the ability to go down the file hierarchy to select what to backup and not.

I prefer Super Duper. It seems to be more reliable. Heard some people complain about data loss occuring with ccc. Super Duper's just fine cool.gif

I don't know where you heard that. I've used it to back up to eSATA, FW, and USB drives with no problems many many times.
