Great news for Diablo fans:

Blizzard Entertainment recently announced the long awaited
and much speculated on sequel To Diablo 2 LOD.

There's a dedicated website at:

http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/

– with ongoing updates, some of which have only been posted over this weekend.

The good news is that it will be a Mac and PC game, in keeping with previous releases.
(although they haven't said whether Power PC is supported, there's a good possibility
that it will be)

It also has new warrior class, The Witch Doctor. Previous classes have been enhanced
and will be playable as both male and female characters.

Blizzard also announced a new 3D graphics engine for Diablo 3.

Further details and system requirements T.B.A.

one year later Diablo III is not there yet, however, it is almost official that it should be released in couple of weeks, some rumors indicate early September 2009.

Thank goodness for Blizzard, their support for mac over the years has been nothing short of legendary. I wish they'd just put everyone into finishing and releasing one of their next generation titles, like Starcraft 2 before getting frisky and announcing another one too! Can't wait to get my hands on either of them. I think diablo 3 is coming out sooner than what people think because the game was supposely in development after diablo 2 but was reworked several times.

smile.gif ...while we are all waiting for Diablo 3 (and I even went and bought
a Razer Naga mouse, just arrived today in post)
Blizzard recently released a new patch for Diablo 2 (Carbon OS X)

...now if that isn't commitment to us Mac gamers (and getting nearly as old as Deckard Cain cool.gif )
