We're sorry for those who have been holding their breath for weeks awaiting the possible renewal of the MacBook Pro range. This announcement from Denis will not make things easier :)
QUOTE
Just to let you know that I just returned from the Apple Store in London, where they have discounted the MacBook Pro!
There is a 150 to 200 Pound reduction from the standard price... Are the MBPs based on the Meron arriving??? ;-)
In Euros, the discount varies from 220 to 300.

Holly c***rap, so we can imagine that if they discount current-gen MBpro, it means they're nearing renewal of the model... or maybe not! Might be also that they want to push sales which might be stalling because people are waiting for new models...
I know personaly that I'm waiting for new MacBooks to buy one...
PLEAAAAAASE!

The news is about the MacBook PRO.
Not sure if this means anything for the MacBooks unsure.gif

Maybe, the MacBook Pro has to be updated BEFORE the MacBook gets its upgrade...

Wait and see (and keep your money biggrin.gif )

My money screams SPEND ME SPEND ME!
No, seriously, I need to buy a MacBook before the end of October, so I hope Apple will have upgraded the MB line by then... I'll buy another MacBook Pro in January next year at the MacWorld Expo in Frisco, so they should already have updated the MBPros.

Let's say that my PowerBook 1.25GHz I use for work starts feeling its age... it's a tad slow when you work with toshop, dreamweaver, a dozen safari tabs and the mysql server doing its thing in the background. So that goes in the 2007 budget of my company... meanwhile, I'd like to replace the old G3 266MHz iBook I use as a media center... It works fine with iTunes, as long as you don't try CoverFlow... but I'd like to be able to play videos... and that's just plain impossible on the ibook :-(
