- Adobe FAQ Link 1
QUOTE May the Student Edition be made further use of after my graduation/training is complete? Yes, after termination of your graduation Student Editions my (nb: spelling typo "my" instead of "may") continue to be used for non-commercial purposes only. (Something not many of us probably knows ...) May a Student Edition be resold? No, the Student Edition may neither be sold by the licencee nor given to others for free. (does it mean that if I were to give the other person some $ € ยข etc + the Software, it would be ok?) - Adobe FAQ Link 2 QUOTE Student question
"I'm very interested in buying the Education version of Adobe Creative Suite, but first I want to know if the software can be used to produce work for paying customers once I am working in the industry, or do I have to buy a different version of Creative Suite once I'm working in the industry?" Answer Good news! You can use Adobe Education software (any title!) to produce commercial/professional paid-for work when you leave school, or even while you are in school. In this regard, Adobe does not limit how student software is used. So students can use it to learn and to make money! (Of course, students must agree to the terms of the End User Licensing Agreement — which appears during installation — just as every software customer must do.) |

As far as I remember, link 1 correspond to what it used to be (I mean before Macromedia ake-over) and link 2 is the new (i.e. current rule)
Anyway, both are posted on Adobe site, so take the one which is better for you and this is it When 2 infos are in contradiction, the most interesting for the end-user applies |

Cri-cri, thanks for your comments. I certainly adore the new (i.e. current) rule.
The FAQ Links were taken off the UK site. Naturally if one were to buy from UK and use in UK or even purchase in UK but use anywhere else in the world, that applies. It would be interesting to find out about your local terms and conditions. |

Thanks, I decided to do a follow up on Cri-cri's post above.
For the record, these are what I tested ... Link 1 doesn't work with hk, jp, sg but DOES work with ap and dk Link 2 doesn't work with hk, sg, dk, ap but DOES work with jp Haha! Talk about consistencies ... No wonder end-users find it so confusing. So on that note, it certainly is in the favor of end-users (i guess). |
