This is good news for Mac users depending on Adobe applications. Indeed, the company announced to have taken the decision to switch its graphical acceleration technology from NVidia CUDA (specific for NVidia GPU) to Open CL. If we consider that Apple dropped NVidia GeForce cards and have now only Intel IGP or AMD Radeon in its Mac models, we should experience excellent performance level with our Mac. The backward compatibility is rather extended as it covers Radeon from series 2000 as well as all Intel HD IGP. Nevertheless, it is recommended to have a recent GPU and at least 512 MB of VRAM to fully benefit from this GPU-accelerated technology.
